Hi I'm new to this site, and looking for some help/advice. I own a 2001 Automatic 330 CI and it drinks petrol like there's no tomorrow, I don't race around or drive erratically. Just seeing if theres anyone out there who's had similar and how they cured the problem

    hi newbie,

    welcome to the forum.

you probably wont get an answer here, as it is a "introduction" area. post in the technical area or the 3 series area. i'm new as well, but it seems that no-one replies to techy questions here

    but welcome

also , you say "drinks" ? what does this mean ? 10 mpg 20 mpg or what.

my old golf 2.8v6 4 mo did 16 mpg round town, and 34 mpg on a good long run. what does yours do?

That doesn't make any sense at all, WTF is 13 miles of fuel! A cupful, a litre, half a gallon. You need to fill tank till nozzle clicks, do 200 miles. Divide the litres you filled up with by 4.546, divide the 200 by the result and it will give you the mileage.

My 330 convertible gives around 22-25mpg shortish journeys & between 26-29mpg on long distance..... If you not sure how to work out the mpg - I get around 250-280 miles on a full tank!!

I guess yours being an automatic would make it a bit thirstier than mine??
