Hi all new to the site so any advice appreciated.

I have a screeching/screeming noise coming from the engine.
    normally associated with the belts.
Had this noise last year summer time starts as soon as the engine is running, gets louder when you accelerate then calms down,it seems to start and stop randomly,my nephew(mechanic not bmw) has done quite a bit of work for me: new alternater, power steering pump, water pump, belts, when i had the noise last summer he was scratching his head as to what it was after trying everything he knew.
I had left the car for a week and when i started it again the noise was gone. perfect i thought.
3 days ago noise is back, really annoying belt noise.
    could it be the fan.
    any ideas please.

you need to get it looked at by a garage or try and locate the noise with a litstening probe ( ear to the end of a screw driver ) and place it on the different components
