    Good evening everyone

    I'm Ross, I'm 18 and I stay in Scotland!

Tonight I received my latest car (200SX isn't on the road, I need a daily hack!) - a 323 E36. Its rough and ready to slide however I have one thing that is annoying me...

The car needs a bit of welding done. It doesn't need much, maybe a mornings work. However it does annoy me that it has this issue and I'm usually a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars so if its not right its getting fixed.

The rust is in the boot where the spare wheel would sit. As I said it isn't really bad its just annoying me!

    What would you guys advise?

Can I get a spare boot panel? I'd really rather replace the whole thing to ensure no rust gets back as I'm sure this would be a common place for them to go? Underside on the sills etc are very very clean which amazes me.

    Thanks for your time,

    Ross

I've never seen them do anything other than just slight surface rust in that area, apart from occasions where the battery tray part can rust.

It's entirely up to you, you could plate it, cut a section from another E36, try hadrian panels for a pattern part, or BMW should still be able to get an original.

    Thanks for the informative response.

I can't see anything on Hadrian panels!

I'll have a look for E36 breakers and see if they'd be willing to cut the panel out for me and courier it to me

It seems the original Hadrian was administrated and then absorbed into here-
    BMW 3 Series Coupe/Cabriolet 1994-1998 (E36) Facelift - Imperial

    No boot floor panels though.

    OK thanks for that!

I can't find any panels so I'll need to patch it I think...

Heres a picture of it -
