    Hey all,

My name's Vince, I'm from Caernarfon in North Wales. A few days ago I picked up a 316 Saloon for £400. (I think it's an E36?)
Not much works on it. It took me a while to get the rear lights to show brake lights and tail lights. The reverse ones still don't work but I've ordered a new set of rear lights + full set of bulbs arriving tomorrow so I'll carry on playing with wiring then

Bodywork wise.... well, the bonnet looks like it's been attacked with a hammer, the front bumper has come away from the body on one side, the metal section running under the headlight is crumpled, on the other side the trim has come away completely.

Now we get to the interior, front seat is ripped and the whole car smells of smoke so a new interior is on the cards! The drivers side window doesn't work, I suspect this is a wiring fault as the window switch doesn't light up while the other one does.

All in all the car is in a bad state but it drives, has MOT + Tax until February and came with a nice set of standard 205/16"s with good tread.
Not a bad buy all in all!

Being my first RWD car (always been a Honda person but the price of insurance was crippling me so I branched out to one of the best car companies in the world ) it's an amazing feeling, the car is so connected to the road! Loving it!

Anywho, I'm off to check out the forum.

    here's the beast;

do you have a to do list written up yet?

£400 is alright isn't it - as long as the beast is mechanically okay.

It will be interesting to see how this develops.

    Welcome
    I'm loving it

    Hi,

    thanks for the welcomes!

-Wrenny; I do, sorted a few of them already. Mostly it's a "to buy list"

-Joe; the search button is coming in handy with sorting problems

-SVVG: Picture 2 has my last car which is still a project. Civic LSI Coupe which needs a head. It's nearly done, just not finished.

-Lashash- It's straight forward so far. Still got no reverse lights and brought some tail lights that don't fit :'(

    - Ronnie; thanks for cleaning that up. I discovered just putting BMW 3 series into eBay is a terrible idea when finding parts haha.

The site so far has been really useful! I look forward to sticking around.
