    Hi All,

New to the site and am after some help/advice!

I have a petrol 335i M Sport (twin turbo) and am unsure wether to have the turbo's remapped. Could someone please help, pro's and con's and if a remap is a remap or do you get different quality ones?

    Many thanks,

    Steve.

I guess there would be varying qualities of remaps, the turbo control system in these is quite a bit different to diesel cars and it takes a bit of understanding to get things to work together.
The pros are more power, the cons are greater reliance on higher octane petrol. Although you'll see a sticker asking for 98 octane, they are able to handle 95 without problems.
Being a turbo car, there's a lot of power available, but you have to keep things sensible.

An issue that does turn up on them is a wastegate rattle. There are plenty of vids on youtube, but at the same time, the issue has often occurred and been fixed for many cars.
