Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself before taking advantage of the pooled knowledge here.

My name's Ben, I'm 22 years old and currently driving a Dakar Yellow 1993 M3. I've owned a few RWD cars in my life so far including a 16v converted Volvo 340, a Nissan 200sx and now my M3. What's the reason for this I hear you ask? Well, apart from the fact that it's the way the motoring gods intended a car to be constructed, I'm into my motorsport and I thoroughly enjoy drifting.

Unfortunately, I don't earn much money at all and, even worse, I have all the mechanical knowhow of a dead racoon (although I'm slowly changing this over time). As a result everything I do to my cars has to be done by someone else as cheaply and efficiently as possible. It also means I only have the one car at any one time and that has to serve me for everything: daily driver, drift beast and track weapon all in one.

I'm slowly working my way through the M3's many faults (due to previous owners string of lies at sale... long story but can be read in full on Driftworks) so have signed up in order to ask a few questions.

    Here's the car in question:

It's a 93 car. Currently fitted with a koni sport lowering kit (came with the car, will be replaced by Driftworks Coilovers once they've finished development), the BBS wheels you see (for which I've had to flare the front arches myself using the tried and tested heatgun + scaffold pole method, the back's are being done professionally once I get the car back) and little else in the way of mods. It's getting fully polybushed including diff mounts, transmission mounts, full subframe mounts and engine mounts, solid rear top mounts, evo front upper mounts, Eiback anti-roll bars front and rear and some extra steering lock.

First, however, it needs a new engine (which I'll explain in the appropriate place elsewhere in the forum).

Anyway, that's me and my car.

    Thanks for reading.

    Ben
