I just posted my first message re a smash I had on my way to work this morning, got some great replies almost instantly that have made my life a whole load easier. Great stuff. So at the very least I thought I should a post a hello to everyone.

So I'm new to BMWs, though I've wanted one for yonks. I bought a 330d touring on a 55 plate a few weeks ago and have been loving it. This is my first real quality car and I'm amazed at the difference. Will never look back.

I'm still having some teething problems - the interface to the iDrive sat nav (why can't I put in a postcode!?); splashing £60 on a load cover that doesn't fit; and worrying a little over the cost of the service next month - but other than that, and today's crash, it's, errr, been all joy...

    Hi and Welcome evade

I've just read your post about the crash nightmare, I'm gutted for you!

With regard to having the motor serviced, why not get it done while its being repaired? If you do manage to get it repaired at a BMW dealers you may be able to negotiate the service, after all they will already have your vehicle won't they?

Good Luck and don't forget to post up the outcome
