    Hi all

I'm picking up a 1999 e46 328 on Saturday. Never had a German car before, mainly Japanese.

Getting the bmw as we just had a baby and I need something with 4 seats!

The car that I'm buying has some 18" mv2 alloys on it which I'm hoping to sell on. I dont really want to have to pay for 18" tyres and I'm pretty heavy footed

What options do I have for 17's on the E46? I love the 5 series dished wheels but not sure if they will fit.

    Thanks

    Ed

    17" BMW 5 SERIES ALLOY WHEELS+STAGGERED FIT 9" & 8" +PREMIUM TYRES | eBay

These are the wheels that I want on the E46 328. Would they be too wide though? The seller seems to think so.

hi and welcome it says on the add that they will not fit on a 3 series and those tyres will cost about the same as the ones on your MV2's,, I would keep looking if you want to change them

Yeah they are a little wide at 255. My old 300zx had 265s on the back lol

Found a few others, now I know that the pcd is the same I'm happy.

Next job might be angel eyes, although I have never really been into beemers I think they do look mint.

    Thanks all

Right been having a think, not even seen the car in the flesh yet as was bought from ebay lol.

It currently has 18" mv2 (or mv2 style reps) fitted with almost new tyres.

I think I'm going to be changing them for 17s or maybe even 16s. I will be wanting to buy some coilovers though, cant stand boatlike suspension and I'll want to lower it a reasonable amount!

So I'm looking for someone with some decentish 16s or 17s that wants 18s with new tyres + enough money for coilovers (about 200).

Hoping the 18s will be in really good condition in order to raise the cash! I like spokey wheels, currently have bbs on the supra.

Also been looking at the angel eyes. I think the ccfs rings might look a bit pants with yellow halagon headlights. Will have to wait and see what it has fitted I guess. It has amber indicators so its probably all standard, thats another thing to change.

Got my E46 today. Pretty impressed its nicer than I expected.

Already on the way to ordering some clear indicators and maybe rear clusters.

One thing though the handbrake is crap! Looks like its failed the mot just about every year on poor handbrake and it bearly holds the car. Is this normal or is there a fix?

The 18s are replicas and also I like them more than I thought I would. I'll put some pics and a for sale thread up tomorrow if I get round to it.

Also had a brake light bulb go on me on the way home. Another job for tomorrow.
