    Hi All,

I joined up because I need some advice. Well several bits really, but I think this probably isn't the thread in which to ask for it.

I have a 2002 E39 530d Touring with 113,300 miles on the clock. It was serviced yesterday and, one or two items apart, is still working like a swiss watch. I intend to keep it going for another couple of years when I will start looking around for a good used example of the newest model (what is the E designation for the current 5 series?)

For thr record, I am geriatric, and I live on a rather lovely farm in Derbyshire. I probably shouldn't admit this here, but I use the car to tow a caravan - look on the bright side, at least it has the power to keep the outfit moving at the speed limit so I don't hold people up. :-)

Look forward to some interesting conversations.

I think I only have pictures with the caravan on the back, and I guess you won't want to see those?

You might like some of these though. I particularly like this one and this one.

Hi and welcome along to Bimmerforums UK, it's good to have you on board.

What engine is in the Lotus? I'm guessing a Crossflow?
