    Hi all

Just taken the plunge and bought my first 6 series (630i sports coupe). I have noticed a small amount of oil in the boot around the base of the battery, any ideas why this could be?
Hopefully just a simple spill or is it supposed to be there.

    Cheers

Sounds like a simple spill to me if it's oil. There's nothing above the battery that could be leaking oil as far as i'm aware.

Try mopping it up thoroughly and see if it's back in a week. If not, no problem

If it is back after a week it'll be time to strip out the boot lining and try to trace the leak. As i say, i can't imagine where it'd have come from though.

    Taz
