    Hello all.

Brand new to the forum. 18 years of age, male. Name is Kyle.
My parents have had BMW's for a very long time!
    e46 320ci m sport
    e46 525i m sport
    e46 330 convertable m sport
    and an e90 320d m sport.

Time has come for the "kiddie" to get himself a nice car. Been driving for 18 months (not a lot i know)

Earning enough money and more to jusitfy a car, thats good on petrol and looks the part. I have always loved BMW's, e46 3 series my favourite. So why not?

Insurance is sorted, i am getting an e46 320cd m sport. looking inbetween 60-80k mileage.

No modifications except privacy glass (75% light, so not the chavvy black windows)

Spending my money on keeping her tip top serviced and cleaned.

Right, here is the question. I have read a lot about aspects that could be improved, and what i gather is:

Swirl Flaps - getting them removed or upgraded.

Rear suspension bushes - Is it powerflex? Anyway, replacing them!

What would you guys advise me doing, to keep her in good health?

Hoping to be very active on this forum, so lets not kick off with the hate for an 18 year old hopping in a fast car and wrapping himself around a tree! Lmao!

    thanks guys!

    Welcome to the forum

Most people with diesel's do the swirl flaps

The front rear wishbone bushes can be changed if necessary

    Hi

Can the swirl flaps be done myself?

    And the bushes also.

Would you recommend a garage doing these for me?

Or could I do it myself, via guides / tutorials?

Not done the flaps as I've never had a diesel. But I'm sure someone else will post

As for the bushes I done my own. If you can change a set of brake discs and pads you will be able to do the bushes.
Although if you are going for powerless I think you may need a press to get them in the lollipops. I used oem bushes from bmw and they come in the lollipops so it's easier
