    Hi all,

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi!

I'm looking to buy either a E90 320d or E92 320i and am trying to see which one suffers less problems before I part with my monies

I've currently got a diesel MG ZS which has been nothing but problems, it's only got 101k on the clock but feels more like it's got 301k!

There are 3 contenders at the moment, all 2007 cars:
    E90 320d M Sport, 57k, £14k
    E92 320i SE, 31k, £15k
    E92 320i SE, 55k, £14k

Do you think the prices are about right? Are there any guides I can have a look at listing things to be wary about?

I'm currently doing 20k a year, so the mileage is going to rack up quite quickly! As far as I can work out there's not going to be a huge difference in mpg between the petrol and diesel?

    Cheers
    Will

Hi Will and welcome to BFUK

I'm sure someone here who knows more about those models will be able to help you out with some info.
Pop a post under the section Technical Talk on the E90, E91, E92 and E93.and you may get a quicker response to your question

320i will do about 20/25mpg less than the 320d - at a rough guess.

I'd go with the diesel 100%. Quicker too.

Really that much!?! The book seems to think that it'll do about 10mpg less on a run.. I did think that it seemed a bit optimistic for a 2.0 petrol!

Bit gutting really, I quite fancy the E92 Coupe, the E90 Saloon looks a little bland (although it is an M Sport).. Will have to test drive them all to see!

Well these are 'BMW Specialist' prices, so was expecting them to be a bit high.. Maybe not that high though

As for the M3, I would love to but would be killed by the missus and the car, or whichever did it first!
