    Hi all

Just registered tonight after finding your site when looking for some info on an E60 530i. Currently have a '06 E46 320cd, but with a nipper on the way I'm looking for a barge to lose all our stuff in. 5 series seems to fit the bill, and as a petrolhead at heart I fancy something with a bit of poke.

Have found a fully loaded 58 plate (except Media options) nearby with low miles, but running costs are putting me off slightly (but I think that my heart is going to win this battle )

Thanks to the mods/admins/etc for running the site.

    Simon

    Welcome and congratulations.

In the current climate you did the right thing, things may get worse and at least your car will put a smile on your face .... and the nipper

    Get some piccies up

Top marks for being sensible, I went from an E46 to an E46 Coupe when my lad was young, not the most sensible option

Mark - think you've hit the nail on the head. Who knows where petrols prices are going (apart from up) so I thought I'd get a big lump now while it's reasonably affordable, and not totally frowned upon ("Say No to the Greens" )

E46 Coupe is a great car, just not that easy getting in to the back IMHO .... but that's only going to a problem when hoovering out all the crisps and mopping up all the sick. Mind you, 5 doors on the E60, leather seats (heated in the back to keep the nipper warm) and oodles of space means it's the perfect family car ..... for me at least.

What sort of MPG are you getting out of the E93?

Oh, and as for pics, well I'm not actually getting the car for another couple of weeks. The dealer is kindly sorting out private reg (Marmite) transfer and sorting out a couple of minor scratches ..... but I'll get some up when it arrives

Here's a dealer pic in the meantime ......

    Spec includes :
    Leather seats
Sports Auto transmission (what does that SPORT button do?)
    Comfort access
    Soft Close doors
    Electric front seats + memory
    Through loading
    ISOFIX Child seat system
    Seat heating (Front & Rear)
    Xenon headlights
    Adaptive headlights
DVD system prep (again, what on earth is this?)
    CD Changer
