    Hello everyone, I've just joined!

    I drive a Silver 2004 330ci M Sport Covertible....
My wife drives a Black 2006 Audi A4 Avant SE 1.8T

We bought the Audi new, but bought the BM second hand in the summer of 09. We both much prefer the build quality of the BM and it's actually a quieter ride (less road noise) than the Audi when cruising on the motorway even though it's got a cloth roof!

As a result, we've started to think about selling the Audi and getting a used X5. I was looking on and off on Autotrader in December and there were a few good private sale cars in the region of £25k which I saw too late, however this year there's only been 2 advertised in Janaury, and one is a Cat C and none are being put on...

I originally came here in case there was a For Sale section, but I can't see that there is.

If anyone has any suggestions where I could look for a private sale X5 for approx £25k, aside from Autotrader which has virtually nothing, I'd appreciate some tips to help me exchange my Audi for an X5.

    Thanks in advance!
    Pete

Thanks! Will take a look. I forgot about Pistonheads! I haven't been there since I sold my RX8 to buy the Audi when kid #1 came along...!

Yeah it looks good but I'm after an 07 model or newer... Thanks anyway!

Actually I'm quite attracted to the big petrol ones. We don't do many miles - we've only done about 22k in the Audi since Apr 06 and it's our main family car.. so cost of petrol is not a hugely influencing factor (although it's still a gut-wrencher when going to the petrol station!)
