hi, ive just joined and will hopefully be going to look at a e36 318ti sport with a z3 2.5 190bhp converstion including box and diff very soon. just been through the models on here and it doesnt say that they did a z3 2.5 though?
also wondering if you guys could give me some advice on what to look out for?
been through quite alot of the forum now and it looks a good one.

    z3 2.5 usa

looks like they only did 2.5 in the usa so its probably e36 325i engine but hey no problem with that

just got off the phone to the dude.
its a m50 engine out of e36 with a z3 box and standard 318ti diff. that sound about right?
he said that the z3 box has closer ratios thats why it was used, this correct?
    thanks

according to real oem the gearbox is the same as any other 5spd box used in the E36 its the diff that defines the gear ratios

so you will probs have a 3.45 diff which means you will have fast accel but a crap top end on a motorway you will be doing 3500rpm at 70mph and on 3.15 m50 diff you will be doing 70 at 3000rpm so not much difference but mpg will vary. and breath lol

forgot to add welcome to the forum
