Hi there, I've been a back ground lurker for a little while now and just wanted to say 'Hi'. I'm in the process of selling my 1996 E39 525tds. It's been a great car but with no fold down seats it's a little limited in what it can carry. I'm going to be buying either a 320d, 330d, 520d or 530d touring if I can convince the misses that we really need one and not a small Euro hatchback
Needless to say I've read countless threads on the pros and cons of each of the cars mentioned and am just trying to guage what I could buy for £3000 in the current market
    Cheers and all the best.

Hi Quarry, Ive never had a bm before and a month ago got a 320d touring, took swirlies out, vortex type breather, full service and just put powerflex bushes on front wishbones yesterday, all I can say is im very impressed with the car, and even more impressed with the knowledge available on here.

Many thanks for the warm welcome At present living near South-Molton.
I've seen a very nice 320D touring 2002 for sale locally. Mileage is reading 170k Is the little four pot ok for these kind of mileages or should I factor in a replacement engine pretty soon if I went for the car?
Price is going to be £2500. Over all the car is in fantastic condition with full BMWSH.

£2500 seems a bit high for a car with that mileage...

I just bought a 2001 320d ES yesterday with 125000 miles for £1500. I did have to travel for 2 hours get get it though but it was worth it, expecially considering it has full BMW SH.

If you like it you should get it but I'd try and drop the price.

    Welcome to the forum!
