    Hi everyone,

Bought our first BMW a few months ago and love it even though it has been leaking oil like sieve. It's been in and out of the local garage and now it's been to our local BMW dealer to get it sorted. Time will tell if the BMW dealer can sort it out after I told them were the oil was coming from.

A little history for those that might want to know. I live in New Zealand and have had a few 'boy racer' cars in the past one being a Mazda 323 and a Mazda Lantis (or known as a Mazda 323F in the UK). I've also had a 1994 Subaru WRX that was worked and produced about 198Kw at all 4 wheels, with that I was doing about 4.8sec 0-100.

Anyway, the BMW I have is a 2004 E46 318i 2L. I say it's my BMW but if I was to tell you the truth I bought it for the wife so that makes it her car. So with that my boy racer days are over and just as well because I'm getting to old for that.

Anyway, I might chat to some of you at some stage, until then see you.

I will do but not in this section. Once I know that the oil leak has been fixed properly I'll post it in the technical section. But what I can tell so far is that the BMW dealer said the oil was coming from inside the vacuum pump and they have replaced the O-rings inside the pump.
