MV1's are my choice for wheels. But as I have a set on mine I would say that (love them), as to the AA truck, all I could think when I saw that was AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! THE PAINTWORK! bloody great aa board hanging off the front.

I find myself wondering why you havent had the seller fix the airbag lights and other niggles? was it an Arthur Daley joint?

As to the thanks button, use it whenever you eel someone has helped you and deserves thanks.

Hope you get things settled and enjoy the car. Its a shame when things ruin the joy of a beemer running well

Thanks (click) Diablo!! - Mean looking motor you have there mate!! I have flu therefore cant sleep what's your excuse? ...... I agree about MV's i need to save to make that happen... as for the AA shot... I was watching as he slapped that stuff on the bonnet... the mechanic was borderline careful and used small pads of sponge etc to protect the paint but my heart was in my mouth! Re the seller: They weren't that bad but they're just too far away to keep going back... TBH this is the first car i've bought myself so i'm a little inexperienced when it comes to demanding that things get sorted out with the car at the time of purchase. Saying that the lights weren't on when i bought the car and it ran fine on the test drive... just one of those things i guess. I was warned by family whose rule of thumb when buying a second hand car is to have a grand ready to sort out any problems... just got to find that 1K

Get an auto electrician to sort the airbag light, plenty of discussions on here about what can bring it up, but its often simply a case of reset rather than a repair. But just in case it is a repair get it reset asap. before any warranty you have runs out. I read somebody elses post elsewhere here and he said that the airbag system as a whole is out of use when a fault light is up. If your car is anything like mine when it comes to airbags, there are enough in there to make you suffocate in a crash long before you get hurt by anything else.

^^^ Now thats comedy Kevin Fun i wish! Thanks for the welcome!

I've had the air bag light reset this week but the light came back soon after - the fault that came up before hand was an electrical fault with the drivers air bag... at least that feels reasonably specific! I'll search the threads and keep updating! Yeah mine has plenty of air bags from the looks of it... i have a day dream where they all go off at once! Quite scary.... thanks for the advice mate!
