    Hi just bought an 2000 'x' e46 330 touring and gearbox went into limp mode on the first day its turning out to be a bit of dog tbo. but despite that i love it

    what happend after? is it still in limp mode or was it just a glitch...im having a similar problem.

    first time it happened i had to get my mate to clear the fault codes with his computer i then optimistcally changed the oil and filter in the box but it just keeps going into limp mode after awhile but now it clears when you switch off the ignition and switch it back on again....basically i think its screwed

    Aparently a lot of the time it goes into limp mode its not to do with the trans..i even read somewhere that it could be something to do with the ignition. but it could be any electrical fault.
