Im new to the site, Im just starting a new job, and need to pick up a car for driving to and from work. I currently have a Toyota Supra TT which is not very practical, as it does about 15mpg if im lucky. Most of my family have either had or have various BMW's and they have always been fairly reliable.
Im looking at 318s about 96 - 99. Can someone give me any clues as what to look for on them. I know about the rust problems on the arches ect.
What should I go for a newer car with less miles, or one with around 120,000 on it?
My brothers 740 now has about 160,000 on it and he hasnt had any real problems on it.
Wheres the best place to look?
Ive looked on Automart and Ebay, and Ive seen a few R regs with 80,000 for around £1600 - £1700 and ive seen some with higher miles on (125,000) for around £1400.
I dont want to spend a fortune on a second car, can someone give me some ideas?

    Thanks
    Warren

Welcome to the forum wazz72, good to have you with us , I will move this to the General BMW Discussions section as it's best suited there

Have you looked on Piston heads for any cars? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/

Also have a look here for some e36 problems http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...ook-out-t3652/
