Well, welcome aboard ! I run a 2008 530d se auto E60, approx. 70k miles, had it just over a year now. All in all very pleased with it, a very smooth drive, I read up a lot of stuff on here before buying and have done the swirl flaps ( were looking in good condition when removed), both engine stats (was running under temp), had a Viper alarm fitted by Securemycar (top bloke). Only use the mpg info on screen as a rough guide because if you work it out on paper you'll find its doing better mpg than it says, mine does approx 28-30mpg on the school run & kicking around local with a light foot, & mid to high 30's & low 40's on the weekend (motorway), mixture of dpf clearout at 70mph in DS mode just over 2000rpm & cruising etc.
Anyway, hopes this helps & I'm surprised no-one has responded quicker on here, I've found this to be a very helpful site.
    Good luck with your car.
    John 😊

    Hi Keith.
Do you still have the Skyline(s) ?
I didnt reply straight away because I have the 2 litre sludger and know little about the six pots.
TBH I've found out a lot of stuff about my Beemer here.
    Welcome to the forum.

    Hiya!
You'll fond endless lists of things to look out for... Firstly the turbo swirl flaps... Blank them off. If you want to hear the turbos spooling like a harrier jet then cut the dpf out and get a remap for lots of yummy hidden power

thanks guys, i drove a few 530's over the weekend and couldnt find one for me, so i bought a E46 M Sport Auto, its been lowered, remapped and the guy put a rebuilt gearbox costing £1,920 in 2 weeks ago lol, its pulls pretty hard, compared to the last one i had, Hi Peter, i sold my last skyline last year as competing drifting at super pro level was getting to expensive and time consuming, i still own Skyline Owners Forum - Europe's Largest Nissan Skyline Owners Club and was torn between a R34 or a Beemer and we know what won lol

I know this isnt your first Beemer Keith but welcome to the Panzer division anyway.
Skylines are wonderful follies but I aim to stay German for the forseeable future.
Your motor sounds great. If you can then post some pics up.
Good luck to Skylineowners. They were the main factor in me being able to keep and maintain one as long as I did.
