    Howdo everyone.

Just thought I'd say hello. I'm new to the bimmer scene, previously an ep3 owner so have been in the jap scene for the last 8 years.
But having just had my first child I need a bit more finesse

Picking my new '02 330ci clubsport up on Friday. Bring on the snow!

    Cheers

    Neil

Yeah lol, well I'm picking mine up on saturday locally haha no chance to enjoy it yet

The clubsport version is very nice IMO, personally I like the smoothness and torque from the 6pot engine totally different from a high revving k20, mines an early one normal msport. However my mate had borrow me his very own ep3 in between the time I sold mine and source for a new car and I can keep that until september this year so I'm still hook up with vtec lol, but the 330 no doubt is a better everyday car, I will see how I'm get on with it

And hopefully no snow for the weekend!!

You bought it private or from a garage?

Wasn't too bothered about clubsport, I actually set out for a 330ci sport in grey, bit this one came up at the right price so had to get it. Hoping the estoril blue grows on me. Planning on swapping the spoiler for a csl style and spraying the alloys black/anthracite. Just to get me started

Just been reading about the flybywire reset, you heard of it?
Aparently it gives better throttle response.

Other than that I'll be waiting till I'm used to the car then getting it mapped with a different induction kit.

Maybe some 18" csl reps in good time. Gunna be following the same root as you though, keeping it pretty much standard.

From a local dealer that's sales loads of Amg merc and 911 so I'm confident it's a good one had full history everything, and for the price I can't ask for more, even there's 1 or 2 cheaper one on the market but I cba to travel and all that, plus it looks really nice on the day i viewed it so had my heart set for it, plus the red leather interior is a huge plus point haha, for a y reg it's super tidy

Originally I wanted a facelift grey one with 6 speed box but it's sort of over my tight budget...
Like I said im very keen on the clubsport the blue color IMO suits the car just right
Thou the spoiler its not to everyone taste, if you can shell out to a csl boot lid is say go for it

Yeah heard of the throttle reset trick, will do it when I got it for a day or two to see if it make any difference

I got m3 alloys sparyed in satan black on mine but I want either a set of csl rep or bbs lm rep in the future..

Just keep it simple and try to get the best out of it in littlest money as poss, no way ok gonna spend as much on it as I had on the ep3

Would get a m3 in the future when I can afford it then that's a different story haha

Got mine from a dealer, cheaper than private sale as well. Think they sell mainly Audi's, 4x4's and posh horse box van things.

I managed to get it for a steal, they advertised it on Saturday and when I got there Sunday to have a look they'd already had upwards of 8 phone calls. The guy was asking me if I knew why they'd had so much interest, I didn't want to tell them how good a price it was.

What colour you got yours in? Black with red interior looks very nice.

The clubsport spoiler I can take it or leave it, but the csl one is so tastey

I know some people change the alloys to m3 ones that aren't staggered fitment, not sure what kind of effect that has on handling/grip?

M3 would be lovely if I didn't do many miles.

Yeah mine was cheaper than some of the private sales too, you dont mind me asking how much you paid for yours? Ive seen a clubsport on piston head that sales for 3.5k condition is average but still not bad price

Mine is silver with red leather interior full m sport kit, paintwork looks decent for a 01...
Csl boot lid surely is nice but me personally wont do that on a 330, again if its a m3 then its a different story

Ive heard when changed from the staggered set up to 225/40 all round would give slighter better mpg and better handling?? Im yet to be convince about the handling would improve but i shall see how it drives, but like i said i think i will source some bbs lm rep to replaced the m3's but i will see how it goes

I bet you cant wait now for collection
