    Hi All,

After doing a few days in my mazda, myself and a mate have decided to do things properly and get a beemer for track use and drifting. A couple of weeks on ebay and then £800 gets us an N reg 328i sport - came with lowered suspension, and some tasty 17" wheels!

after that, we stripped out spare tyre, all the seats and doorcards, and all other unnecessary trim and carpets - made a big pile of sellables:

Next steps are fitting two buckets and harnesses, ready for our first track day on the 12th! Got a couple of plans for manifold mods, custon exhaust, and other bits like a fibreglass bonnet and boot.

Looking forward to learning the ropes on a track in a beemer!

    Brillo and Al

thanks guys! Yeah, I'm trying to take pictures of progress wherever possible, i'll update when the buckets are in!

Im still amazed how much car you can get for £800 - its done 111,000 miles, but full black leather throughout, leccy windows and sunroof! No aircon, but nay bother, as we'd take it out anyways!

    Welcome mate,

What a bargain for that! You should be able to get a fair bit back from selling bits and pieces anyway. Good luck with the project anyway

little update - seats are in and looking good! One corbeau i had already, and another sparco for £40 quid on ebay. Also got some cheap harnesses on ebay £35 for a pair of 4 pointers!

And the car as it stands now - it was on the trailer backwards hence the yellow 04 plate!

First track day was mallory in mid june, awesome day and was happily keeping up with far more expensive stuff with our weight saving!

Work for today are putting a new alu panel over the roof, new alu doorcards and possibly remove the beam from the front bumper.

Next trackday is Colerne Airfield on the 28th, come say hi!

    Good work so far

That beam behind the bumper will need to be replaced if your removing it though as it holds the bumper onto the beam (via plastic rivets) and then the beam onto the body.

Not a wise idea to put a car on a trailer backwards (i tow a lot - and have found out the hard way). It obviously means the engine is at the back, maximising the pendulam effect should it start.

    Welcome.....cool car.
