Welcome to the forum, and congrats for seeing the light!

Personally, I'd say E46 M3, I'm not a huge fan of many newer models.

Hi, I have a BMW x5 3.0d, I am currently noticing a strange knocking noise from the rear. When I accelerate and then take my foot off the accelarator it's makes the noise. It does not seem to do it any other times. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks

Maybe you should open a thread of your own in the correct place, and then you'll not be thread-jacking.

I like the M3's but i think the E90's are that little bit more refined. Plus with £15K to spend I think you should be able to find a nice 335D which you could have remapped to produce around 330bhp and 600Nm which isn't bad.
Think I'd need to drive both to see what would suit me best if i was you.
