    Hi all, I'm Chris.

Bought my 530d a couple of months ago and so far it's been great (bar some trouble with the alternator, but that's a long story).

I work in Salisbury as IT Admin for a Stamp Dealers, yes postage stamps. Great fun

This is my first BMW, I had a number of French cars when I was younger (never again) and then a Skoda (which caught fire), sold the Skoda once it was fixed and got the 530d.

It still puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it (feel quite special driving it at just 21 ) and the fuel economy isn't too bad for the power it has, 44mpg on a 105 mile motorway trip recently

Not got much planned for the car, maybe a remap at some point. I grew out of modifying them some time ago (got a rally car for that )

Anyway, that'll do for an intro. I'll probably see you on the forums.

I've had my share of hot hatches and fancied a change.
Plus I need to be able to tow the rally car and the 530d fits the bill nicely.

    A few pics.

    Well you did ask

Been working on it with a friend for 4 years. Spent £13k on it so far and spending another £2k on dampers next week

Bonnet, bumpers and trim is all ready to go on. Engine is a standard 1.6 at the moment with a Quaife LSD in the gearbox.
    Been speaking to someone about a 405 T16 engine, but it's £3.5k
