Hey all. The names Sean, I'm 25 my daily is a Honda Civic Coupe 1999 EJ6 with a D16Y8 engine conversion and a fair amount of other modifications along with a VW Golf Mk2 GTi 8v again with a number of modifications but basically a road going track car.

The important bit, the project, is an E36 323i 1997 track day car, the story is as follows........

My parents bought the afore mentioned E36 about 10 years ago, it served them well but over time a few issues were starting to show up at its regular services and the bills were starting to get higher and higher. As they had become quite attached to the car over the years they didn't want to see the car go to someone else so my step dad had the plan of keeping her and turning her into a track day car.

    Cracking idea I thought!

So as I'm quite into my cars and have taken on a couple of projects I volunteered myself to help out with advice on parts, stripping and rebuilding and of course getting a crack at the end product myself

As it stands the interior has been stripped and we've started with the ordering of parts. Our main priority at the moment is simply to get it in the bare minimal standard for some safe track day action, evaluate how it does and then prioritise the next steps from there.

I'll be honest, the reason I've joined is to milk you all of your knowledge and experience which will hopefully help us on our way to a successful project that doesn't fall apart on us or kill us on the first bend

Now I can see you all getting worried about a barrage of quests, but don't be, I'm an experienced forum user and actually a moderator over on HondaCivicForum.co.uk so I won't be posting a million inane questions.....I know how to read and intend to employ this skill to my advantage

So hello everyone, nice to meet you all. You may not see much of me to start with but now you know I am there

No worries.Stick an M50 manifold on it and you'll get the same power as the 325

Cheers for the welcome guys. I'll get some pics taken and start a proper project thread as soon as possible, unfortunately I haven't got any pics of us removing the interior but we all know what a cloth interior looks like.

Cheers for the invite Lewy, we will see if we can make it although its unlikely as the weekend is quite busy, we will make it to one in the future for sure.
