Hi everyone, I bought my first BM six months ago and now I'm HOOKED!! I own a 1998 E36 328i and I never realised how well built and reliable they really are. Here are a couple of pics I took when that yellow thing in the sky came out.....once.

    Cheers, Dean

Reminds me of my M-Tech 323 coupe, but just that bit more special. Can you manage to link some full size pictures from photobucket or elsewhere so we can see how tidy she really is

Love the old BBS wheels on the Genuine 328 Sport BTW,

Cheers Chrisp, I've never been on a forum before so I dont know how to do that, I took the pics on my old Sony Ericsson and just about figured out how to attach them The bodywork is quite good for her age, some rust on the bootlid, couple of chips here and there, but theres a horrible bit of damage above the front passenger window, looks like someone used a crowbar and its bent the frame slightly underneath.

nice car mate and welcome. ive just had mine for 6 months and love it to bits. just keep an eye on the rad, water pump and thermostat area. these need some care with the cooling, the first thing i did was to replace all these so i know that they will last for some years. look after it mate as these are great cars.

Cheers lads, nice to be here. Shes pretty sound mechanically, apart from play in the gearstick. What engine oil would you recommend? I've put Comma oil 5w/40 fully synthetic in but it smokes alot when warming up now.

... I use Castrol Edge BMW LL 0w-40 fully synth. BMW recommend nothing but Castrol but you'll find many debates out there and on here about what people use.

As winters approaching, I'd go for the 0w-40 as it will protect across the temperature range. 0w for cold starts and the 40 for when you're thrashing it on Christmas day.

I had previously used Castrol 5w-30 fully synth but got the 'tappy' noise on cold starts. The 0w eliminates that now.

(also, at your mileage of 152k, you should get your CCV and both hoses changed. They'll be clogged with oil sludge and will kill the mpg and eventually make the car run lumpy and give you smoke - just done mine at 157k - Wish I'd done it sooner after I saw the state of it! )
