Hello to everybody
After years of avoiding BM's I decided to take the plunge and go for one. This is after years of owning Vauxhalls, especially SRI's, and suffering their poor quality.
I must admit I am indeed pleasantly suprised with my 323. I know it's old (2000 reg) but it's to my maximum budget. A genuine 62K on the clock, but left to stand for several months, hence the need for a little tlc.
Have owned this for just 2 weeks now and have replaced filters, engine oil and diff oil so far. As well as checking brakes etc etc. Must admit though that they are not the easiest of cars to work on, and I am not a fan of leaving servicing to 15k (the filters I took off were falling apart and after 11K only)
I need to at some time reset the service light - once I can find out how to do it!
I am now in the process of cleaning wheels, painting calipers, killing underbody rust spots and carnauba waxing (brilliant stuff)
As I am keen on quiet cars I like to cure rattles etc but must admit I haven't noticed any yet.
Thats it for now folks.
