    hi everyone i noticed that the UK has alot of alpina's so im hoping i can rely on everyones advice on them . i have 2 my first is a 1994 b3 3.0 and i just recently bought #3 of 5 1996 b8 4.0 . here are a few pics . thanks for looking
    first my b3 . question


    now my b8 which im waiting on to be shipped over shortly , queston , would it be ok to paint the side skirts to match the paint

    Pictures one and two have painted skirts, 3 and 4 have non painted skirts.
    Which one do you own?
    The 4.0 was a Japanese only spec Alpina, so quite rare.

    pics 1 and 2 are of my b3 alpina and 3 and 4 are of my b8 which i just bought this week and im waiting on shipping to canada , should take about 2 months . im wondering why the b8 doesnt have painted skirts i really prefer the painted skirts on my b3 but i wont paint them because thats how it came from alpina

    i prefer matching skirts painted as well but if you want to keep it oringanal i would leave it as it is

    It's quite common for them to still be undersealed, and it should infact be painted underneath, but it might be a bit risky as I believe you need to sand it off.

    thanks for the reponses guys . ill have to do some research on painting the skirts unfinished like it is to me doesnt look good

    Very nice set of alpinas, are Alpina's scarse in Canada, and I thought the b8 was a 4.6

    they are scarce in canada but some guys have imported them from japan and europe . the b8 in europe is a 4.6 but alpina in 1996 made 5 b8's with a 4.0 for japan and mine is #3 . its the only one i have seen that has no wood in the interior except for the shift knob .

    from what i can tell on the alpina register all 5 are still around . mine only has 47k on it since certain parts of japan dont get snow and they dont salt the roads it will be rust free . i got my 94 b3 from japan this spring and its totally rust free with a super clean under carriage
