    Exactly^^^ if you're going to buy a BMW in the first place why compromise on anything less than 6 cylinders? Might as well buy a VW or Audi otherwise.

    325> petrol or diesel will be a far far far better experience and more reliable to boot.

    If you're not doing many miles don't even consider a diesel...

    im after something cheap on fuel and to tax etc as i have a merc which i use on weekends which is already expensive to run

    But if you insist on a BMW, what the 318/320d save you on fuel (negligible if you're mainly town driving) it will almost certainly cost you and then some in general maintenance and repairs.

    thanks for all your advice i decided to keep the focus as its a 2.0 titanium 145bhp so not to bad when you put your foot down and its a st replica so il keep this till i get bored thankyou all
