    Hi as you can see I'm new to the forum iv never joined one b4, iv not long got my first BMW a 118i and it needs a few things doing to sort out the massive lack of power and a few exterior bits and bobs to make it look right but at the min it's as standard as they come. I like the idea of a engine transplant but I know nothing much about bmw's or what engine to use?

    welcome to the forum!

    I'd say unless you're particularly attached to the car then engine transplants are almost always not worth the hassle.. far better to enjoy the car you have for what it is and then trade up when you get the chance..
