    Hi folks,

I just bought a used 318i E46 for as my next car. I've been driving a VW Golf GTi for the past 5 years and was actually looking for an Audi A4 when I came across this car. Couldn't pass it up and as long as it is German I'm happy to drive it!

Loving the car already but have a few questions about BMW's:
    • The strange levered accelarator pedal seems a bit stiff at times. It feels pretty alien compared to standard pedals I've used before. Will a bit WD40/oil loosen it up? Sometimes it feels really stuff when I'm starting and I end up pushing down too hard!
    • I'm looking to replace the leaking oil filter housing gasket. I've tried searchign for parts and using numbers but all the main sites come up with no results. Is it best just to go to a BMW dealers? Is there any good online suplliers wherre you can punch the part number in and get what you want without all this fuss?

    Cheers folks,

    - JT

Hello and welcome. BMW 3 is a good buy over Audi A4, the Audi always feels such a heavy car to me.

I and welcome, I can't help you with you question but also was looking for an Audi A4 then i came across a rather nice looking E46 coupe, Think the Audi will have to wait a while.

ps. 3 Bimmers later and i've never looked back
