    nice looking car m8, but don't waste your money trying to get any horses out of it! you will be wasteing your money. drive it for a while, get used to the e46 and maybe in a while you can go and get a bigger engined model with al the experiance gained from owning this one.

    i came close to buying a 328i se e46 tonight but there was just something that was telling me all wasn't right with it.....i really don't know what was wrong with it,i just decided it wasn't the one for me
    am i strange or do other people sometimes feel the same when looking at cars for sale,it's almost like a sixth sense telling you not to buy it

    i've had an idea!
    is there anywhere that will put a 328 or 330 engine into my car?

    anyone got any suggestions

    if you look at a 328 then make sure its a post march 2000 or that the subframe has been done! or you may end up in deep trouble, do a subframe search on here and you will understand!
    It would cost you less in the long run to just sell the 318 and buy a different model! seriously, as you would need to upgrade brakes, suspension etc. it will end up costing you dearly. and the value of your car will drop as a result of the changes.

    At least your not on a US forum. If you have a 4 cylinder there you may as well hang yourself.

    Are you mental?

    Could have shopped around and got a 328, but bought a 318, but straight away is sniffing round engine conversions to a 328 which will cost £2k-ish
