    i'm now the proud owner of a e46 318i se,wow this is slow.....lol
to think i went from looking for a e36 328is to buying this i must be mad.
but i think it's probably a better car as a day to day driver for the wife to use.although she has already started asking about how to drift it....lol
is there any way to release any extra ponies from this engine or is it to expensive to get decent gains?

what i really need is an m3.......MMMMMMMMMM.......one day eh!!!

    Welcome to the forum.

You will find that you are likely to spend more on fuel in a 318 than a 328........

You will also find that it will cost a lot per pony to release ponies.....but dont let that stop you as we love unusually personalised cars.

Congrats in choosing a good make.

    Get some pictures up.

    Amos

    Welcome.
Don't worry, I shifted from looking for an M5 to a diesel.
Clear your heads and get ready to run.

wow the 4 pot bmw's are similar on fuel than an 328 6 pot?

i think i'll have a re think and look for a 6 pot instead then,i do like the way it drives it's just so gutless compared to other cars we've had,so what is the best 6 pot to use as a everyday car....320...323,,,325,,,328 (i do like these )
i would of stuck to my guns and bought a 328 is but they just felt very old when behind the wheel....ie the dash layout etc...

i'll get some pics up as soon as i can, then you can all laugh at our under powered 4 pot lol

i did test drive 2 328 is's the first was a real nasty piece of work, the second was a ok car but not spot on for the amount of money he was wanting....
i just got it into my head that maybe a 4 pot e46 would be a better day to day driver than a 328 e36....maybe i was wrong

i may now look at getting a 328i se as a daily driver as i'm missing a bit of umph!!!! lol

    pics tomorrow defo....
