My name is Mak, recently upgraded from a 1.4 MK4 Golf to my 54 plate BMW 320D M Sport.

I am new to the scene so will need alot of help from the pros with this car.

Spec, full leather interior, Dotz 17" wheels (not my taste) 78k on the clock I also removed the dreaded front tints which were abit too dark for me to drive around with at night time.

The interior is abit worn out aswell, small tear on the drivers bolster unfortunatly

Plans for the car.....as much as i want to lower it etc etc...I dont have the money right now. I am looking into small exterior changes, like orange indicators for the wings and front in general. And when money comes in performance upgrades eg Hybrid GT22 Turbo

Other than that, here are some pictures i took on the day i bought it

    My old Golf:

    And the BMW:

    Thanks for looking,

All advice and help is greatly appreciated

HI Mate, iv just changed over from a mk4 Golf GT TDI150 to a 320D Convert M- Sport..totality different car, loving it so far, how you finding yours
What I dont understand is people who buy fast cars, but then watch their MPG all the time - If your going to have a fast car like that, then you wanna be able to drive it fast and not worry about MPG.

I guess from the GT Tdi itsn ot much of a power difference, but much more comfortable!!

I genuinely missed the ride comfort. As soon as i jumped in the BMW i was like, man...no more osteopaths for me lol

It possibly one of the best cars iv had in 4 years!! (Iv had 5 cars lol)

I wanted a coupe, but they were toooooo expensive for their mileage!

    How are you finding yours?

Yeah iv heard of the swirl flaps, my mum had the same BMW a few years back, didnt get round to doing the flaps.

I know there are 2 sizes, 22mm and 33mm, but iv never mechanically looked into a BMW and rather not work on it myself yet. DO you know what size would mine be?

I know the 33mm ones are fairly rares in these cars.

You have a very nice 'd' too wagon FTW!!

True mine were 22mm but I did get the 33mm ones to then just sent them back for a refund

There is loads of stuff to do or at least check to make sure it runs well and lasts for a long time

Clean EGR valve and inlet manifold
check you have the vortex breather and not the loo roll type and change if needed you should have vortex at 2005 build but best to look you can clean it out at the same time
    Change you Vac pipes
    Change the air filter
    Fuel filter too
Change oil and filter ever 10K I do mine ever 6K dont follow BMW's over the top 18.5K
Even with a FBMWSH I would be willing to bet these have'nt been done

one last thing get it re-mapped as fook me they fly when you do that

Enjoy it mate see you around the site

This is going to require a nice BMW session with my BMW-Crazed mate lol..But its a matter of finding him when he is free.
    He works for BWchiptune.

A remap is in progress. I need my exhaust before i get that.

But its a decision of getting it done from EMP Performance, or Vortex Exhaust

Its a tough choice, both same prices roughly. But neither tell me their gains.

Haha that made me laugh....yeah its nice to have a bit of Comfort! saying that, the coilovers on the golf wernt too bad.
BMW is in a different league to the golf...although yes the golf was nippier, more of a go kart.

As mentioned in this thread, iv brought my swirl flap blanks off ebay and shall be fitting them this weekend. Also will give it a service while i have the covers off the engine.

    mod wise....i cant stop spending!
just changed all the outside bulbs to white ones (error free) and im gonna buy an angel eye kit...and il be happy with that!
