    Hi All,

Just put a deposit down on a 2010 118d M Sport Coupe. It was quite spur of the moment and having come home and read a little I'm a bit concerned about the timing chain issues. Is this car best avoided? It has 23k on the clock and is ex motability. Is it a very high percentage of these cars snapping the chain?

    Thanks
    Graeme

I wouldn't worry too much, most of the things you read on forums are always negative, they would be boring if everyone constantly posted about how great there car was running.

I wouldn't worry about the timing chain, you will more than likely here it rattling before it's snap pal that's if it ever does. If you worried about things that go wrong with cars via looking at relevant forums you would never own a car

Just buy it and enjoy it
