    Hey,

I previously had a Vectra but fancied something difference, it was a toss up between an MG, BMW or a Hyundai Coupe. So I opted for the BMW , best choice I think. I'm 20 so the only option was to get a 1.8 coupe, 2.0 they wont insure me and a 1.6 I think I'd get bored of.

So I bought a 1997 BMW 318IS Coupe M Sport, red, 98,000 miles. Service History up to 10,000 miles ago.

I do have a quick question, when it drives it's perfect, but when it's idling it's a little bit lumpy, vibrates the car a bit, but again, when you give it a bit of gas it goes... Previous owner said he changed the oil and filter when he bought it about 7 months ago, oil looks fine and clean. Any ideas?

    Here's some pics:

I love it . My plans so far's to tint the windows, change the backbox and maybe fit a spoiler, not sure about the spoiler though.

i have a 318 is also its the 1.9 mine ise smooth when driving but quite lumpy on tickover aswell, i think it is the idle control valve. but if the engine is sucking in air somwhere like a leaky rocker cover gasket/oil cap/dipstick that will cause it! also check your rubber pipe that goes from your air flow meter, to the intake where your acelerator cable is, they usually split underneath, and cause a lumpy tickover

Excellent thanks. Something to do when the sun comes out, if it ever.
