Hi to my fellow BMW owners. First time in owning (and driving) a BMW for the last 7 days. I bought a E65 760i last weekend and have been running it now for a week. Apart from its amazing thirst for petrol (no surprise I guess) I love the car. Quiet, hugely comfortable, more than enough gadgets to keep me happy and, when needed, incredibly fast.

The iDrive is not the most intuitive system to use (but I'd read this anyway) but, with time, I guess will become second-nature. The only oddity is in my manual it shows a menu button next to the rotary dial which you can press to bring up the menu options. I don't have this and no indication that I ever had it. I can seem to get to most menu options anyway with the rotary dial. The one I can't find is how to sync up my phone via bluetooth which only seems to come up when you press this missing menu button.

Anyway, I've got the built in phone so it's not the end of the world.

Welcome and wow, a tank with a jet engine! You must grin from ear to ear every time you put the keys in the ignition.

    You will enjoy it here.

Yep - I love its wolf in sheeps clothing approach. Used to own a TVR Cerbera which is much more a wolf in wolf's clothing !!

Thank god my company give me a fully expensed fuel card though - it would really hurt if it was coming out of my wallet every time I fill up with super unleaded !
