The name is James, from Leeds in the UK... I picked up my E46 328i SE two days ago and it's a beauty, I love it to pieces.
Have to admit it's a real upgrade from the Golf GT TDI I was driving before.
One thing that concerns me slightly is the clutch; it feels great, always works perfectly and never causes any problems. Only thing is though (and this may well be because I am not launching right with it being Rear Wheel Drive and all; but I dialed in some gas (about 4500rpm) and let the clutch out and even with my foot fully off the revs stayed around 4500rpm as I accelerated up. I can punch full throttle in 5th gear at low revs and get no slip at all; so I am a little confused?
I have fitted the clear indicator lenses all round, but now also fitted silvatek bulbs to get rid of the fried egg look, and also pics of my angel eyes to compliment the 6000k xenons.
It's also had some work done that you can't see such as new front and rear anti roll bar bushes, new diff mounts, new drop links, new clutch and new disks at the front (all covered by warranty might I add :-))
Anyway, pics say 1000 words:
The 6000k Xenons again, but this time in with the Angel eyes
Didn't go for colour coding in the end, as after numerous photoshops - the car actually looks BETTER with black strips. Also saw some other members car with Colourcoding and didn't like it
Have also had the wheels re-finished as I decided that for now I will keep them as I think they suit the car. So brand new goodyear eagles all round on my new re-finished wheels
and then a quick one of the "flight deck" inside :-)
Hoping to get a pukka rolling road written map, by RS Tuning on it soon to gain around 10 - 15hp and about 25lbft and that coveted www.RSTuning.co.uk sticker on the back....
