If its the newest one i think its a very marmite car and i think the older one is better but as both generations become cheaper you will see them gathering the wrong attention as boy racers can afford them. Just my two cents

thx, another great reply, i know what ever car you drive, you'll get a stereotype, not all type r driver are boy racer, same as not all BM driver are cocks lol

i personally like the current civic, but that me, dont expect anyone to agree but that what i think. and as for kitting it up.. no way! im not in to that, anyway im selling it soon, so not worries there.

    thx

Personally anyone who buys a 1 series needs their head reading and doesn't know anything about cars.

have to say the 1 series really don't do it for me either, find them weirdly proportioned although don't mind the look of this one:

although do understand that BMW were trying to get in on the hatchback/small car market

    318IS PROJECT
    On the to do list:
Fit: Supercharger, New exhaust - get a twin pipe, Vibe front speakers , Front splitter repair/respray install

To do :Poss refurb wheels, Sort dents, Put front lights back to OEM, Respray, Remap

Sideways is the only way forward

if you wanted mpg and a diesel, u should of got perhaps a ford fiesta, 35 quid road tax and 60 mpg, I have to argree the type r is something, but selling your bm?? what yiou thinking?? the 1 series are having a rough time, but if you want looks, speed and sex appeal go for the m3

In that, I think this thread has run its course. There's been all sorts of comments and remarks etc, yes some of us are biased, but what do you expect on a BMW forum? You've also had some good advice on here, as you always will, great bunch of people on here. You obviously made a mistake when buying the 1 Series, maybe didn't give it a good enough test drive or maybe rushed into it. Either way good luck with whatever you replace it with and if you ever get a BMW again you'll be welcome back here
