Hi all im new to the beemer range, the name is Phil and im 21, with 1 child only days old, Just bagged my first E36 Coupe. Only a 1.8 engine so not at all the powerfulest. But its a good start.

Its a 92 Coupe in red. Nice car to drive just needs body work sorted out. Seems beemers suffer from rust on the front grille and arches??

Plans are to lower it so it sits nicely on the 17s its on.. Any ideas what mm/mm setup to go for that looks nice and level?

Also in the hunt for the M3 rear & front bumpers since its already got the m3 skirts on it.

And if anyone has anything i should no about the E36 Coupe range that would be great. like common problems and what not.

    Let the modding begin.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on becomming a father!!! and BMW owner...

Make sure you get that baby seat fitted in your Beemer before the missus suggests going shopping for a 'practical' car...

    Thanks for the replays!

Car seat has already made its warm welcome to the car lol.

Plan on getting those windows tinted! Dont like the baby sun shades messing up my style in the big beemer!! hehe.

While you's are here. Could anyone help me out with a little problem with the throttle peddal as it feels a little sticky when you push it. check the TB/Carb and it seems to be stick when pulling the throttle open manualy via the TB/Carb. Do you's think i need a new carb? Also the idle is a bit unsteady when i first start the car up from cold, however it never stalls just drops a little and bounces a few times before settling at idle speed. Do the 318 E36 engines have an automatic choke Carb or is it an idle control valve??
