Hi , I've just joined the forum as I've ordered the above car in Msport trim. Previous car was VW Golf GTI which was good car but felt it was about as powerful as I wanted to go with FWD so changed to BMW . It will be the first rear wheel drive car I have owned and looking forward to it. Took a long time to make up my mind and only slight doubt in my mind is if MSport suspension plus 19 inch wheels will give too firm a ride. I do like a firm sporty ride which was one of the reasons I chose BMW but does anyone have any experience of this or equivalent car in 18 and 19 inch wheels - is there much of a difference ?

    Welcome.

The 19's are pretty harsh with the RFT tyres. But they do look better IMO. Just avoid the potholes

I did get a test drive in 330i with 19s so at least I will not be in for a surprise. Enjoyed test drive very much but certainly was a harsh ride when road surface was poor. Read a lot of reviews mainly online and some advised going for SE due to firm ride , others advised Msport but said stick with 18s. I had a 320i for a day in SE and decided I would prefer firmer suspension set up. Would probably not have pain extra for 19s but with new Highline package which gives 19in wheels leather and bluetooth for £750 and as I wanted leather and bluetooth it was actually going to cost me about £700 more to specify 18s.
I also test drove 330 deisel and 330 petrol back to back and altho deisel felt noticably faster in everyday type driving petrol engine just felt silky smooth in comparison and that is what mattered for me . Also 330 petrol gives remarkable mpg for a 6 pot petrol. What kind of mpg does anyone who has 330i get in real life ?

you should expect 27-31mpg...my 330ci is 22-23 mpg but this was due too a botched re-map...it cost me £60 to drive 350miles today,,averaging 85-90mph..and thats with poor mpg...they are good cars mate

I use the missus GTI and get about 40mpg on a run. But then it does dip pretty rapidly when the fun starts
