I've just bought a new 320d M Sport Tourer (F31) and I absolutely love it. When I was driving to pick it up on Tuesday I was a bit nervous that I had built it up with such high expectations that I would be a tiny bit disappointed but it exceeded expectations. I loaded it with so many options and so far my favourite 3 add on are the Harmon Kardon speakers, the active cruise control and the heads up display.
I came from a Skoda Octavia estate which I had for over 8 years. It was a great car which served me really well, but the past year or so, cars have started coming out with the gadgets which made me feel it was a good time to change my car. Initially I looked at the new Ford Focus but all the dealers I went to weren't really interested in help me out (perhaps my look put them off with them thinking I couldn't afford it. I am an ageing rocker with long hair wearing black cargoes and band t-shirts). Now I'm grateful for that. Then when getting my car MOT'd, the only place nearby was an Audi garage so I popped in for a casual look, the salesperson got me sold on the A4 Avant. I took it for a test drive but it didn't give me the wow factor, which a car costing that much has to but it did make me realise that I could afford a car like. So I looked at BMW. The new 3 series tourer wasn't out at the time, so the BMW dealership were really good and arranged for me to come in on the day of release and take a test drive. I did this and it did give me the wow factor so I ordered one that day.
