I would just like to say what a great forum this seems to be, I've been lurking here doing research while deciding what car to get to replace a tired rav4. Yep you guessed it, it's a BMW. I found a nice 02 plate 316ti se with history and 60000 on the clock with a half blue leather interior, I'm over the moon with it.

    Welcome to the club
I also have only just bought my first BMW a 2003 318ti high on miles (90000) but one owner from new but it looks fantastic. It says its due an oil service and I think I may have a go when I find out what oil everybody recommends.

Thanks fellas. Treated mine to an oil service today and got the mechanic to give it the once over, apart from some control arm bushes that need replacing and its inspection 2 all is fine, which I was pleased with. It's in a whole different league to drive compared to the rav4 I had previously.
