    hi there,

just thought i would post a hello.
not quite sure where my level of mechanic skill is on the spectrum. Many years ago I used to fix up cortinas from old models that had stopped working.
I then moved to London and had no more real access to cars for one reason or another.
I got a motorbike about 5 years ago and as it was pretty simple to do have been doing all the work on it, servicing, brakes, cables, etc.,
I was so happy last year when I could finally afford a beemer and the insurance for it.
It's a '95 E36 saloon 318 which I have so far done 2 services on and just fixed (I hope) the rear coil springs.

Taking the wheels off and looking under it has also shown me a load more work I could do once the weather gets better. (My workspace is roadside at the moment and due to living in London can find it pretty hard to get somewhere quiet most of the area covered by my residents permit is pretty busy.)

Anyway, I got the springs done from the advice on here and I hope to do a few more projects, so I look forward to taking part in the forum.

    Thanks.
