Hi guys, my name's Matt and I'm soon to be a new BMW owner. It's my first BMW, and I'm hoping ownership will prove enjoyable.

    Here's the car in question:

I take delivery tomorrow at 10:30. Can't wait!

Plans are relatively simple, at least at this point. First two jobs are iPod fitment and a paddle shift conversion. Hopefully I'll get these done in the next couple of weeks, as I'm off the Nurburgring on the 28th August.

You will no doubt hear more from me as ownership progresses

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone. Picked the car up today and I absolutely bloody love it. I was previously a VAG guy (had a couple of Audi S2's, Golf Mk1, Golf Mk2 16v (2.0 conversion), Golf Mk3 VR6) and the thought of stepping into the unknown was a concern, but I'm very glad I did.

Done about 60 miles today, 59 of which were in tiptronic mode

From what I gather it won't be exceptionally cheap, but it'll add a real sense of occasion to the driving experience (I hope). Like playing Forza!
