Hi im Nick, 21, from the Isle of Man, ive been into my veedubs since i started driving in 05 but i fancied a go at drifting so bought my 96 e36 328i coupe that had been used for trackdays.

It had 109k miles on its original nikasil block and still going good, until now and the primary reason i signed up here.

It just wont idle when warm, its ok from cold then goes at operating temp and hesitates very slightly when below the vanos, still goes well but not what it was, my Snap-on scanner only brings up codes for both o2 sensor heaters which it has done since i got it in sept, starting messing about 3 weeks ago.

I have cleaned MAF (also unplugged it, makes no difference?), cleaned the throttlebody, quick check for vac leaks. I have noticed that it really stinks of egg at times and i mean a real acrid eggy smell, from what i'v read so far its pointing me to o2 sensors.

Im handy with the spanners, tractor mechanic for 3 yrs, so do all my own work. Just need some car based tech help

    Cheers Guys.
    Nick

Yeah its not bad, love the lack of speed limits etc etc. Steam packet currently getting caned by Peter Dohle freight (the big multinational jobby) so there may be changes soon

Thanks for the welcome guys and i apologise for the wheel colour below, theyre my winter / drift day wheels, i have some nice Borbet R's being refurbed for summer.
