    Hi all,

As my name suggests (and the thread title), I've just ordered an m135i 3dr, expected delivery some time December

Really excited to get behind the wheel of a 3.0 turbo RWD sport automatic transmission as it will be the fastest car I've owned

This is my first BMW and although its nowhere near as good looking as my Alfa Romeo Brera S I'm sure I'm going to be as happy and hopefully more so!

Any thing you would suggest/warn me about? Want to keep it in the best order possible and if there are any 'must have' modifications?

    Thanks.

Keep it serviced properly and on time, also listen out for rattling wastegates, you should have no problem with those though being brand new

Thanks, I would anyway plus I have the 5 year service plan so no excuse! Lol wouldn't know what a rattling wastegate sounds like (unless its a really obvious sound)?

Is the recommended service interval ok? E.g should I change the oil in between services?

Also this is my first brand new car I've ever brought... Should I 'wear' the engine in before 'ragging' it?

    Thanks.

Personally, I would follow some sort of running in procedure.

I dont know whether the 135i has twin turbo's or the later twin scroll type. The twin turbo's do have issues with rattling wastegates. You'll hear them if they give trouble.

They are a high maintenance machine, or can be. The posts above mention that you should consider an extended warranty when yours comes to an end in 3 years.

    Enjoy
