I found the forum while looking up info for my bimmer and this seems like a cool place. Everyone seems to have good knowledge and dont mind sharing it. So I wanted to say hello.

I do have a question if anyone can help. I have looked at the other threads about driving in the snow and while they were helpful I was wondering if I could get a little more personalized info.

I just moved to the snow and was wondering if it is worth getting snow tyres or just gut out the winter with chains. I will only be out in the snow for one winter and am not sure if it is worth the cost. But at the same time my drive in to work was rather tense at times so I was wondering what you all think.

    All help is appreciated. Cheers!

    Welcome to the forum
Could be worth investing in snow tyres if your daily drive is tense

Yea it was pretty rough. And I don't like the idea of having to drive back home when we are expecting 4-6 inches. Turning off the ASC did help though. So you all saved me with that bit of info.

    Hi Zwibi,Welcome to Bimmerforums.co.uk.........
Snow tyres will definately help but then again a rear wheel drive car ain't the best for snowdriving

True. Don't have much of a choice in the matter tho. Kinda have to make do with what I have.
