Hi all, Just got myself a 318i tourer 2 weeks ago and found that I can't drive a manual anymore [ had auto for last 4 years]...............

Or so I thought.. I was getting really fed up with kangarooing away from lights, bouncing into 2nd,then 3rd....

I remembered why I didn't buy the one I saw over 20 years ago[plastic dash ,cord seats, glorified Chrysler alpine]..I was young OK

then I discovered the forums and found out that a sticky accelerator pedal was a common fault.

Once I found out that I don't fly by wire I nipped to halfords and bought some throttle cleaner stuff...

5 minutes of cleaning and what a difference...

I now know why you folks love ya cars.

THANKS for all the helpful info on the site

Thanks for the warm welcome, Just been trawling through the posts and these cars seem to get better the more I read .

I don't think I'll be keeping the 318 for long though...I think I need something a bit quicker.

It will defo be another touring though.

    Cheers Billy.
